The Public Relations and Marketing Department is solely responsible for the promotion and support of the entire team. Its sub-departments include Website, Newsletter, Finance and Video.
The members of the department are the sole creators of the newsletter "TechTalk", Cybersonics.org, a yearbook, an annual video, and a comprehensive business plan.
The video department is in charge of filming and editing an annual team video which is played at the pits during all competitons. In additon, they create an online team webshow (Tech Talk) which is featured on Youtube.com and Teachertube.com. Lastly, the video department is responsible for various videography done throughout the robotics season, including recording many matches.
The Manufacturing Department is the division of the team responsible for creating the signature robot. The team must work quickly to respond to the game, prototype and finish the robot, then pack it for delivery for use in competition.
The Inventor department designs the robot using the Autodesk Inventor software. With this program, the robot is modeled on the computer, allowing for successful prototyping of components and stress-analysis tests to be run. The award entry consists of 2D drawings, 3D renderings, and detailed diagrams. Over the past five years, the team has been awarded the International Autodesk Inventor Award four times.
